How do sub-grades affect the final grade?

Safeguard uses an algorithm based on a four sub-score system in line with the recognised and commonly practised grading standards in the Trading Card Games (TCG) industry to determine the score of your cards.
Thus, the determination of the final grade attributed to a card is not based on the average of the four sub-grades it has received but mainly on the lowest sub-grade, which reflects the most marked defect affecting its condition.
It is this sub-score which determines whether a card is anchored in a commonly accepted general condition and therefore in a defined grade. The other sub-grades are likely to improve it slightly or not, depending on their strength and their distance from the lowest sub-grade.
